New Project Support from TÜBİTAK ARDEB 3501 Program

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project “‘Widows’ and ‘Widowhood’ during the Ottoman Modernisation” coordinated by Dr. Zeynep Kutluata from the Department of Core Academics has been funded by TÜBİTAK ARDEB 3501 Career Development Program. 

The literature on widows and widowhood is growing, but the topic appears to be unexplored in Ottoman Studies. This project aims to introduce the topic to the field and thus pave the way for future research.

We congratulate our faculty member for her achievement and wish her success.
