20 April 2022We’re pleased to announce that the project “Analyzing Normalized Episiotomies in Turkey in the framework of Grounded Theory with an Intersectional Approach”, coordinated by Prof. Dilek Cindoğlu from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration has been funded by TÜBİTAK 3005 – Social Sciences and Humanities Research Support Program.
The project aims to understand the dynamics of the medicalization of the female body within the framework of Grounded Theory by focusing on the decision-making processes of episiotomy, one of the medical procedures applied in childbirth, and focusing on Bourdieu’s theoretical perspective and concepts.
We congratulate our faculty member for her achievement and wish her success.
